City Church family,
In March 2020, the Elders met and decided to suspend public worship gatherings to align ourselves with public safety guidelines related to the novel coronavirus. After much prayer and planning, we resumed worshiping together on Sunday June 7 while still observing public safety guidelines. Each week for the current season dealing with COVID-19, we are still planning to release a resource with an adapted version of our Sunday liturgy including a livestream of the sermon to mirror the corporate worship we are participating in on Sunday. It remains our hope that this resource will allow us to worship God with a united heart even though we do so from separated locations. As our community gets healthier and the threat of COVID-19 transmission dissipates, we will keep you updated as to the status of the weekly delivery of the livestream. For those wishing to join us indoors, please keep in mind that our ability to worship together hinges on cooperation with the precautions set in place for safe gathering.
Let us continue praying for and seeking intentional ways to help those impacted by the novel coronavirus, especially those who have become ill, lost out on needed income, or who work in hospitals or as first responders. If you find yourself in need, please do not hesitate to reach out to the elders or deacons.
Grace and peace be with you all,
The Elders of City Church
